About ME

Alexandra Weibel, DC, DACBR, AMR CP; dcweibel17@comcast.net 415.497.4127

Alexandra Weibel, DC, DACBR discovered AMR founded by Dr. Brian Bronk, DC in January of 2014. At that time she was teaching radiology at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA, teaching  5-hour courses in radiology for relicensing chiropractors, interpreting x-ray, MRI and CT images for about 70 chiropractic office in the San Francisco Bay area, and practicing Chiropractic in San Rafael, CA.

The moment she discovered AMR, Alex knew that she had come across one of the biggest TRUTHS in the field of pain management. Being trained by some of the best chiropractic and medical radiologists in the San Francisco Bay Area, it didn't take her long to realize that the incidence of disc herniations, meniscal and labral tears, rotator cuff and other tendinous dysfunctions is relatively high among ASYMPTOMATIC people. On the other hand, it was quite common for the images of a patient in debilitating, long-standing pain to be absolutely NORMAL. Then how is it that we put the blame on common imaging findings in SYMPTOMATIC patients when we know that even on medical radiologists reports there are disclosures pointing out the low degree of correlation between patients symptoms and the degree of disc herniations for example? Alex always felt quite uneasy about this fact and couldn't stop searching for a better explanation, the MISSING LINK. What were these sophisticated images missing? The MUSCLE SPASM! Imaging is absolutely necessary to rule-out red flags such as cancers, fractures, infections and some congenital anomalies. Other than that, they are mostly at a loss to explain the root cause of people's discomfort...

Now, almost 9 years later, the only thing that gives Alex a great level of satisfaction is the practice of AMR. Each case is unique and can take time and she is dedicated and committed to getting to the bottom of all patterns of spasms her patients may present with.
